Your privacy matters. This page explains exactly what HEIC Converter does — and, just as important, what it does not do — with your files and your data.
In-Browser Conversion, No Uploads
HEIC Converter runs entirely inside your web browser using WebAssembly. When you add a photo, it is decoded and re-encoded on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, sent to the cloud, or stored anywhere else — they simply never leave your computer or phone.
We Do Not See Your Photos
Because conversion happens locally, we never receive, transmit, or process the contents of your images. We cannot view them, copy them, or hand them to a third party. Even our own team has no access to what you convert.
No Accounts, No Sign-Up
You can use every feature without creating an account or providing an email address. There is no profile to build and nothing to link back to you.
Analytics and Cookies
We use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics to understand general usage, such as which features are popular. This measures page views and performance — it is not used to identify you personally, and we do not sell or share this information.
Advertising
This site may show ads through Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your general region and browsing context. You can control personalized ads in your Google Ad Settings. Ads never affect how your files are processed — conversion stays 100% local.
Data We Might Store
The only data we might retain is anonymous, technical log information (such as browser type and error reports) used to keep the site running smoothly. This never includes your photos.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
HEIC Converter is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store any personal information from children under 13. Because our tool operates entirely in the browser via WebAssembly — with zero file uploads — no image data, personal data, or user identifiers are ever transmitted to or stored on our servers, regardless of the user's age. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us at hello@heic2any.online and we will promptly delete it. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, this site serves a general audience. Interest-based advertising (IBA) through Google AdSense may be displayed; users and their guardians may opt out of personalized ads at any time via Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.
